Popstar AVRIL LAVIGNE has earned $1 million from people watching the video to her hit single GIRLFRIEND online.The promotion has clocked over 100 million views on video sharing site YouTube.com since it was posted on the web by RCA record company executives last year (2007) and Avril Lavigne's earnings have rocketed as a result.
Every time the video is viewed, an advert is played and the singer receives a fee, reports Gigwise.com.
